South Fayette High School will hold its 30th Annual Festival of Bands on Saturday, October 9 at 7 p.m. in the high school stadium. The South Fayette Little Green Machine Marching Band will perform, along with 7 other local high school marching bands including Brentwood, Fort Cherry, Franklin Regional, North Hills, Peters Township, Schenley, and South Allegheny.
Tickets are $7 adults and $5 students/seniors at the gate.
Discounted tickets ($5) are available from the LGM sales table at every South Fayette home football game, beginning Sept. 3.
The lessons for our youngsters don’t end with the final bell of the day if they’re involved in co-curricular activities. In fact, the learning experience that comes from participation in drama, music, speech, athletics and the like, promote lifetime values that cannot always be learned in the classroom. More>

The start of the 2010-2011 school year is rapidly approaching. It is time for those students who wish to drive to school to obtain their annual parking permit. Student parking at the high school is in the rear of the building near the entrance to the Cafeteria/Commons. Students may only park in this location. More>

The South Fayette Foundation for Excellence is partnering with the PGA's Mylan Classic to be held August 30-September 5 at Southpointe Golf Club, Canonsburg. The Foundation is eligible to receive 100% of any tickets purchased when the South Fayette Foundation is designated as the charity.
A $25 Grounds Pass permits access to the tournament grounds all week and a $50 Clubhouse Pass permits access all week to the grounds as well as the clubhouse dining area shared by the players, their families and sponsors. 10-pack ticket packages are also available.

Step One asks to designate "Favorite Charity." Scroll down the list to South Fayette Foundation for Excellence, enter it on that line, and additionally enter "Maureen Pedzwater" as the organization representative.
The South Fayette Foundation for Excellence, formed in January 2009 as an independent non-profit community organization, is dedicated to providing academic, arts and athletic opportunities through teacher grants, student scholarships and innovative programs beyond the school district's budgetary means.

The 2010-2011 Dual Enrollment Fall Schedule is now available with Ms. Pedzwater in the High School Guidance Office. If your son or daughter is interested in taking these college courses during their junior or senior year, please make sure they pick up a copy of the schedule and the information packet. For all incoming seniors who are considering taking Dual Enrollment courses during the late morning or afternoon, they must pick up the Fall schedule and review the information packet prior to their arena scheduling day. 2007-2008 marked the beginning of the South Fayette Alumni Association (SFAA). The graduating class of 2008 will mark the 80th anniversary of graduation ceremonies for the district. From Lafayette School’s first graduation class of 13 (on record) to the 156 graduates of the 2007 class of South Fayette High School our alumni roster exceed 6,700+.
