August 22, 2009 Alumni Event

The South Fayette Alumni Association welcomed all alumni back to school on August 22, for the 2009 Welcome Home Event during the Lion Pride Day celebration. The fun began at 4:30 p.m. with a private alumni reception at the high school as South Fayette graduates from 1939 to 1984  met with former classmates and teammates. It was an afternoon of memories as the graduates reminisced about their “Good Old Days.”  This year included a tour of the current Middle School, where many alumni spent their high school years.  The walk down memory lane continued as alumni relived their South Fayette years through a collection of framed collages of the decades, posters of years of stage productions and a collection of the “Little Green Machine” band uniforms. The festivities continued as the graduates took part in the Lion Pride Day activities at the stadium complex.  The alumni joined the parade led by the “Little Green Machine” and the 2009-2010 South Fayette sports teams and cheerleaders. The alumni were saluted by all assembled in the stands as their decade of graduation was announced.
