The
school day begins at 9:00. Students who
arrive at school between 8:30 and 8:45
must
wait in the school lobby to be dismissed
to their classrooms at 8:50.
Students
have a daily thirty minute recess. This break
in the daily routine allows students time for
social interaction and exercise! Depending on
the weather conditions, students may enjoy recess
in the classroom or on the playground. Parents
should make sure their child is dressed appropriately
for the day's weather!
Students
receive instruction daily in one special
subject
area. Children are exposed to the fine arts
through music, arts alive, and art instruction.
Library class
encourges oral and written communication skills.
Students learn the importance of physical
fitness
through activites in physical education.
